Marjorie Fagin

September 29, 1927 — July 29, 2011

Marjorie (Scribner) Fagin, 83, of Bremerton passed away on July 29, 2011.  She was born September 29, 1927, to Frederick and Ginevra  Penniston.  Marjorie grew up in Ashland, Oregon and graduated from Jefferson High School in Portland, Oregon in 1945.  Marjorie married Charles Robert Scribner in 1946. She worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a Supply Center Supervisor and retired after 30 years of service. Marjorie’s marriage to Arthur Fagin was a 21-year affair full of adventure. Marjorie loved camping, fishing, minibike riding and RVing.  They traveled throughout Washington, British Columbia and the Southwest eventually joining the ranks of snowbirds in Yuma, Arizona.  While in Arizona Marjorie found new friends, took painting classes and enjoyed the warm winters. Marjorie was an avid gardener; she enjoyed baking, knitting and sewing, even making her own clothes. She is survived by a “step” family of 4 children, their families and 5 cousins. Marjorie was a second mom, best buddy and surrogate grandmother to many.  Her gracious manner, humor and quiet wit will be remembered and loved by all of us; she will truly be missed.  No services are planned.  The family especially thanks Marine Court Memory Care for their love and support of Marjorie.
