Marjorie T. Garrison of Port Orchard, Washington died February 21, 2005 in Bremerton, Washington. She was 85. She was born August 25, 1919 in San Diego, California to Samuel A. and Bertha S. (Cook) Johnson. Marjorie married Robert H. Garrison August 31, 1940 in Pasadena, California. She graduated from Pasadena High School in Pasadena, California in 1937. Marjorie worked as school secretary - retiring in approximately 1977. She was secretary in elementary schools in Pasadena, San Diego and high schools in - Helix (La Mesa, California) Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, California) and West High School, Bremerton, Washington. She later worked in Print Room for Bremerton School District approximately 1970 - 75. She was a member of Colby United Methodist Church. Marjorie is survived by sons - Robert A. Garrison of Bremerton, Washington; daughter-in-law - Christine L. Garrison; sister - Helen Porter of Chico, California; 3 grandchildren (Tim, Laura, and Brad Garrison); 1 great-grandchild - Dominique; and, many special friends - including Ken Lieske. Marjorie was preceded in death by husband - Robert H. Garrison. Marjorie greatly enjoyed dolls, being member of a doll club, gardening, cooking and entertaining, bird watching, and being with family and friends. She also greatly enjoyed volunteering at Manchester Elementary School for several years. She was a member of Weaver's Guild for many years. A memorial service will be held at Colby United Mehtodist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2005. Memorial donations may be made to Colby United Methodist Church.
