Mark was born in Pennsylvania, diagnosed shortly after with Down's syndrome. His parents rejected the idea of institutionalizing him as recommended and moved to Washington State. At age 5, he attended the first Special Education Class in the area held in Bremerton, later continuing in the South Kitsap School District. Mark took great pride in completing his chores to help maintain the family home, loved to take trips, eat out, and watch sporting events. He was raised in a nurturing family environment and brought much love and joy to those he encountered, especially his family. He is survived by his mother, Zenida, sister Kathleen Hallman (Keith), nephew, Hector Hallman, niece, Emily Hallman (Peter Schrappen), grandniece (Olive), cousin Marianne Benes, and numerous out of town relatives. He was preceeded in death by his father, Andrew. An on-line memorial can be viewed at www. rill.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Rill’s Life Tribute Center.
