Marquita Watkins

Marquita (Toni) was born in Tacoma, Washington April 7th, 1932 and died at home with her daughters by her side on December 3rd, 2011. Toni was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph. She is survived by four daughters, Terrie Warner, Sue Marcum, Cheryl Graham and Rosemary Collins, six granddaughters (Lindy, Angie, Lorie, Jessie, Nicole & Melanie, one grandson (Bryon), numerous great grandchildren, her beloved cat Butchie and her two dogs Boomer and Mollie. Toni married Ralph Osteen Watkins in 1948 and was a homemaker her whole life. During their life together Toni and Ralph loved trips to the ocean, especially during stormy weather. They bore and raised four girls together. Toni loved to garden and each spring the planting would begin...beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers adorned her yard with everything in just the right place. Toni also loved animals of all kinds...who else had a mother who raised a baby raccoon and an owl? She also loved to shop and could generally be found in Fred Meyer almost any day of the week. Toni was easy to love and a fast friend who would share what she had with anyone who needed it. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. We know that heaven was holding a special place for her and in the past few months she held onto being able to see her beloved Ralph again. As angels keep their watch up there, Please, God, let her know, That we down here, do not forget, We love her and miss her so. Private graveside services will be held for family and close friends on Friday, December 9th, 2011 at 2:30pm at Fraola Cemetery in Olalla.
