Marrion Lavonne Rivers of Port Orchard, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, May 25, 2014.
Marrion was born on April 18, 1933 in Yuba City, California. At the age of 16, she married Donald W. Rivers on September 2, 1949 in San Francisco, California.
Marrion was an incredibly gifted artist, her passion was painting land and seascapes of the places she loved and admired the most. She loved children and animals, enjoyed traveling and camping, she never turned down an opportunity to spend a weekend at the beach which was her favorite place to visit.
She is survived by her beloved Husband Donald W. Rivers, 84 of Port Orchard, Wa; her daughters Diana Rollins, 63 of Olalla, WA and Donna Rauter, 64 of Mt. Vernon, WA; her granddaughters Dawn Olson, 34 of Port Orchard, WA and Lisa Miller, 42 of Silverdale, WA; and great-grandchildren Alexa Olson, 22 of Pacific Beach, CA, Skyler Olson, 18, Doyton Miller, 14, and Ashton Miller 12, all of Silverdale, WA. Marrion is also survived by her sister, Sonia Lilly of Santa Rosa, CA and a brother, Michael O’Brien of Willows, CA.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” held at the Port Orchard Eagles Club F.O.E. 2338 on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 4-8 pm. The Eagles is located at 4001 Jackson Avenue SE in Port Orchard.
