Martha Belle Rousseau of Port Orchard, Washington died August 5, 2006. She was 82. Martha was born August 18, 1924 in Clovis, New Mexico to Armpstead and Lillie Miller. She married Paul E. Rousseau December 24, 1977. He died September 9, 1980. Martha graduated from high school in Hatch, New Mexico in 1940; and, attended college in New Mexico in 1942. Her career was that of Social Services Case Worker for 12 years in San Diego, California (helping people). She retired in 1983. Martha was active in the church she attended; and, lived in San Diego many years. She collected Teddy Bears and small figurines; loved to sew and quilt; enjoyed decorating, especially Christmas; liked to sing hymns; loved all family gatherings. A Memorial service will be held at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on August 11, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. She is survived by sons - Michael Gilmore, of San Diego, California, David Gilmore (Dolores) of Port Orchard, WA.; brothers - Bob (Hazel) Miller of Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico, James Miller of Hatch, New Mexico; 3 grandchildren (Christi, Dyann, Daniel); 2 great-grandchildren (Austin, Logan). She was preceded in death by step-father - Ocie Davis, brother - Kelly Miller, sister - Fawnette, son - Ronald.
