Marvin Eugene Lutz was born in Topeka, Kansas to Oscar and Mabel Lutz on August 25, 1946. There he attended a one-room school until completing the 6th grade and then to Berryton Elementary School. His family moved to El Segundo, CA his senior year. He stayed with older brother Donald and graduated from St. John’s Academy in 1964, and then earned an AA in electrical engineering.
Marvin worked for the post office in El Segundo for two years and then enlisted in the Navy where he served for six years. Marvin worked as a logistics specialist in Long Beach, CA until that site closed transfering to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in 1992, retiring in November 2002. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, woodworking and time on his John Deere tractor, as well as being a member of the VFW. Marvin was married to Bonnie Ruehs in November 1985 in Los Angeles CA. They enjoyed several trips to Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as a trip to New Zealand and Australia.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his spouse, Bonnie, his brothers: Donald, Alan and Roger, his sister, Karen Lona and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date.
