Marvin "Marv" Magures died May 4, 2002 in Poulsbo, WA. He was born May 25, 1945 in Antioch, CA., to Samuel and Emma (Hopkins) Magures. Marvin graduated from Antioch High School in Antioch, CA., in 1963. He married Ginger Blankenchip in Bremerton, WA., on July 6, 1998. Marvin worked as a water treatment specialist. He was a member of North Kitsap ABATE for 11 years, an honorary master of the Sho Rei Shobu-Kan martial art, attaining a 3rd degree black belt. Marvin was a member of the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.Marvin is survived by his wife Ginger (Blankenchip) Magures of Poulsbo, WA., mother Ruth Magures of Poulsbo, WA., sons M. Magures and David Magures both of Poulsbo, WA., daughter Charlene Buckmaster of Shoreline, WA., 2 step-sons, 1 step-daughter and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Sam Magures in 1971 and one sister in 1998. Funeral services will be held at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, WA., on May 9, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be May 9, 2002 from noon - 1:00 p.m. at Rill Chapel. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Poulsbo, WA.
