Mary Beck

Mary Jane Beck, 83, died at Life Care of Port Orchard in Port Orchard, Washington on January 7, 2006. She was born in Dallas, Texas on September 21, 1922 to Martin Luther & Josie Lula Josephine (Fleming) Green. Mary Jane married Gene Beck on May 3, 1943 in Seattle, Washington. Mary Jane worked as head cashier with Ben Franklin in California. She also worked at Woolworth and other variety stores. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, playing cards and visiting casinos. Surviving are daughter Mary Jean Brust of Port Orchard, grandchildren Ruth Hunt, John Brust, and Scott Brust; and great-grandchildren Steven Hunt, Spencer Hunt, Christopher Brust, and Amanda Brust. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, son Scott Beck, and brother Paul Green. Funeral Service at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Interment follows at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
