Mary Kathryn Collings
July 29, 1925 — September 8, 2018
Mary Kathryn Collings left to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on September 8, 2018. Joining her beloved husband Walter and son Richard.
Mary was born July 29, 1925 in Spirit Lake, Idaho to Bufford and Ann (Ricketts) Fallis. She had a brother John who preceded her in death.
Her family moved to the Port Orchard area when her father had an opportunity to work in the Bremerton shipyard.
On December 2, 1943 she traveled to Sioux City, Iowa to marry the love of her life, Walter (Bob). Later they moved to Port Orchard where they raised their family. Mary was a homemaker and loved gathering family and friends for meals and fellowship at her home. Doors always open and coffee always on.
She is survived by her daughters Kathleen (George) Leach of Aberdeen, Washington and Joan Irwin of Port Orchard.
Also surviving her are 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be 1pm September 29, 2018 in the chapel at the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil, Washington.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Mary’s name.
