Mary Daly

Mary Carlotta Daly died February 14, 2003 in Tacoma. She was 86.She was born in Eakly, Oklahoma to J. Kenner Coker and Laura (Gordon) Coker.She graduated from Arkansas City High School of Arkansas City, Kansas in 1937.Mary married Leland J. Daly May 9, 1952 in Fort Chafee, Arkansas.She worked as Executive Secretary to Commanding General of Army Ground Forces for 10 years. She also worked as a secretary in the Supply Department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 10 years - retiring in 1972.Mary was a seamstress, gardener and enjoyed reading.She was a member of the Port Orchard Church of Christ.She is survived by her husband, Leland J. Daly, of Port Orchard, Washington; sons - Andrew L. Daly (and wife, Caroline) of Cudjoe Key, Florida and William J. Daly (and wife, Marilyn) of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren: William J. Daly, Jr. and Shannon Daly.A visitation will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on Monday, February 17, 2003 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.A funeral service will be held at Port Orchard Church of Christ on February 18, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.Interment will follow at Sunset Lane Cemetery.Memorial Donations may be made to:Port Orchard Church of Christ Youth Fund2585 Carr Ln.
