Mary Klein

Born October 26, 1924, Mary passed away March 2, 2009. A graduate of Ballard High School, Mary later attended Seattle Pacific College, where she met her husband of over 50 years, Richard "Dick" Klein, who preceded her in death.  Mary is survived by 3 children: Richard Geoffrey (Meg Bidwell-Klein) of Port Orchard, WA; Marvin (Lisa) of Alsace, France; and Lisa (Tim) Surdyk, of Kenmore, WA. Mary also leaves behind 9 grandchildren. Other surviving family members include Mary's sisters, Florence Gibson and Margaret Morris, and many nieces and nephews.  Mary will be greatly missed by her family, as well as members of the Seattle Pacific College and First Free Methodist Church community, of which Mary was an active and contributing member.  A memorial service for Mary will be held at the First Free Methodist Church (3200 3rd Avenue West, Seattle, WA 98119) at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22nd. Mary's family suggests that donations be made in Mary's memory to the Richard Klein Scholarship Endowment at Seattle Pacific University.
