Mary Lou Bejar

Mary Lou was born October 22, 1934 in Fresno CA. to Juan F. & Petra Sandoval Martinez. She was raised in Gilroy CA where she graduated from Gilroy High School in 1954 that same year she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, David A. Bejar. Together they raised 8 children, David, Jacki (Baker), Donald born in Gilroy, CA. In 1958 they left Gilroy & moved to El Cajon, CA & added to their growing family Daniel, JoAnn (Martin), Jill (8/1/63 D), Dennis & Janine (Barsanti). David & Mary Lou spent the next 30 yrs. in El Cajon. Mary Lou dedicated herself to raising her children, serving in the PTA, Avon & being “mom to many of the neighborhood kids”. Mary Lou always enjoyed cooking for family & friends, Mexican dances, camping & BBQ’s. In 1992 they moved to Port Orchard where they made many new friends. She was now able to do some of the things she loved reading, watching baseball, garage sales. They continued to enjoy their family as 4 of their children moved to Port Orchard. They celebrated their 61st Anniversary before David passed away on January 14, 2016. They were also blessed with 11 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren & loving sons & daughter in laws. Mom was her happiest spending time with us all. Family was very important to her. Dad & Mom instilled in all of us the love of family.

We love you & will miss you Mom but knowing you are with Jesus & dancing with Dad comforts our hearts.
