Mary Morris

Mary M. Morris died September 28, 2002 at Willow Creek Adult Care Home in Port Orchard, Washington (she was formerly a resident of Bremerton, Washington). She was 84.She was born in Hammon, Oklahoma February 14, 1918 to Ira and Lena (Freeman) Stewart.Mary graduated from Canton High School of Canton, Oklahoma; and, took business classes at a community college in Olympia, Washington.She worked as a salesperson for a department store in Idaho and Spokane, Washington. She was also worked as a field office assistant with the Washington Highway Department - and retired from that position.Mary sang with "Sweet Adelines"; liked to grow and arrange flowers; enjoyed entertaining at her home; was young at heart; enjoyed being with the younger crowd; belonged to a "Grandparents Group" in Tacoma; and, was an excellent seamstress.She was a member of the Church of Christ in Port Orchard, Washington.She is survived by son - Doyle D. Morris of Kennewick, Washington; daughter - Patricia L. Woodrow of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers - Ira M. Stewart of Cassville, Missouri and Jim Stewart of Springhill, Florida; sister - Alice Matchell of Belgrade, Missouri; 8 grandchildren (Pamela, Renny, Diana, Christopher, Theodore, Steven, David and Carey).
