Mary Kathleen Stimson

Kathleen Stimson, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones immediately following her anointing by Father Phuong on February 26, 2019.

Kathleen was born July 31, 1935 in Portland Oregon to James and Sylvia Brady. She received a scholarship and attended University of Portland and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1957. Kathleen also married Michael Stimson in 1957 and they had six children. She is preceded in death by her son Joseph Stimson and survived by Mary, Patty, Maureen (John) Stacy, John, and Geri (Matt) Lindseth and her 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Kathleen worked for Harrison Memorial Hospital from 1980 to 1998 and helped startup their Home Health program where she then worked as an Administrator until retirement. She was a member of the Parkwood packers club who did regular trips hiking, whitewater canoeing, cross country skiing and traveling both domestic and abroad. In addition to multiple outdoors activities, she also enjoyed gardening, furniture refinishing, bird watching and neighborhood walks. Kathleen was easy going with a fun loving and adventurous spirit and loved spending time with family and friends.

Her Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Gabriel’s Church Friday March 8th at 1:00 pm. An optional Rosary will precede the funeral mass at 12:15. There will be a reception immediately following the funeral Mass in the Saint Gabriel’s reception hall. The Burial will follow the reception at 3:30 pm at Sunset Cemetery.
