Mary Sutherland

Mary E. Sutherland, 87 formerly of Port Orchard, died in Bainbridge Island, Washington on July 31, 2000. She was born on July 14, 1913 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Homer & Myrtle (Carter) Pryor. Mary married Charles Sutherland. He preceded her in death in 1972.Mrs. Sutherland worked with the Welcome Wagon in Port Orchard from 1972 to 1976. She previously worked for 12 years as a Nurses Aid in Minnesota and Montana, retiring in 1952. Surviving are her son Wilfred Gibson of Seattle; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Jess & Les Pryor and sister Edna Rutter.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2000 at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
