Mary Truman

Mary Imogene Truman died of cancer at her residence in Port Orchard, Washington on November 28, 2002. She was 81.She was born July 20, 1921 in Belt, Montana to Arthur and Mary (Ashworth) Swett.She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School of Mt. Vernon, Washington.Mary married Merle W. Truman July 28, 1950 in Coos Bay, Oregon.She and her husband owned and operated Truman's T.V. in Port Orchard, Washington for many years.She was a member of V.F.W. Post 2669 Auxiliary in Port Orchard and held many positions including district president.Mary is survived by daughters - Rita Truman of Port Orchard, Washington, Nancy Mazon (and husband Mike) of Idaho, Penny Taylor (and husband Dennis) of Idaho; Sons Danny Lund (and wife Debra) of Gig Harbor, Washington, Dennis Lund (and wife Laura) of Portland, Oregon, Step-son David Truman of Oregon; many grand-children, many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by son - Donald Lund.A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel of Port Orchard, Washington on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery, also of Port Orchard, Washington.Memorial Donations may be made to:American Cancer SocietyKitsap UnitP.O.
