Mary Williams

A wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, nurse and friend passed away on January 4, 2009.  Mary Kay Williams was born in Abilene Texas, on October 26, 1926.  She moved frequently with her parents, Allan and Margery Hanson.  She graduated from Flathead High School in Kalispell Montana.  After receiving a Register Nursing Degree, she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science Degree at Montana State University. She met William (Bill) Williams and they married in 1948.  Together they had three children, Kathy, Karol and Allan.  Most of their lives were spent in Bellevue Washington until they moved to Port Orchard Washington and Palm Desert California for their retirement years. Her husband Bill and her son Allan passed away in 2005.  She moved to Barrington Illinois to be with Kathy, son -in –law Hank Crossetti, grandson Cory and grand-dog Duncan.   In 2008, she returned to the Northwest to be close to Karol, grandson’s Ryan and James Day and grand-dogs, Max, Molly, Matt and Jake. Mary Kay was generous, smart, ambitious and a wonderful friend.  She loved spending time with family and friends, playing bridge and golf, entertaining and helping others.  She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.  As her horoscope said the day after she passed away, “Scorpio (Oct. 24-Nov.21).  Your job is complete. You have worked all you can with what you have.  After you sweep up do not forget to turn out the lights.  As you do, the lights come up on the brand new adventure that awaits you.”
