MaryEtta Turner died in Tupiza Bolivia November 25, 2002 as the result of a bus accident. She was 16.She was born January 25, 1986 in Tacoma, Washington to James N. Turner and Pennye Nixon-West.She attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington; and, would have graduated in 2003. She graduated from Escuela Salesiana "Muyurina" High School in Montero Bolivia.MaryEtta enjoyed horses, FFA, photography, Rotary, camping, travel, hiking in Bolivia, e-mailing, telephone and friends.She was spiritual in heart.MaryEtta is survived by her father, James N. Turner, of Wenatchee, Washington; mother, Pennye L. Nixon-West (and stepfather Guy A. West) of Port Orchard, Washington; host parents Jaime and Fatima Paz in Montero Bolivia; brothers Atticus and Will Turner of Port Orchard, Washington; sister, Yamini West, of Port Orchard, Washington; grandparents, MaryEtta and Clarence Nixon, of Hickman Tennessee and Barbara Turner of Anacortes, Washington and Merna West of Puyallup, Washington.Memorial Services will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church of Port Orchard, Washington at 2:30 p.m. on December 4, 2002.Memorial Donations:Please no flowers, but rather give to the Donation Account for Etta Turner at Columbia Bank. Proceeds will be donated to The Heifer Project International. This is Etta's favorite charity.
