Matthew Aniano Tumaliuan
August 2, 1983 — January 16, 2014
Matt was called by our Lord Jesus Christ on Jan. 16, 2014 following complications of pneumonia.
No words can do justice to the beauty of Matt's life and character. Joyous, gentle, humble, simple and sincere in his love. He was a devout Catholic, in love with Jesus Christ, a man of prayer and sufferings for the sake of others—there is no greater tribute to his life than this.
Born in Orlando, FL, his Navy family moved a lot until coming to Port Orchard in 1996. A very talented actor, singer/songwriter, he performed off-and-on in local community theaters for 13 years. He played guitar and piano, enjoyed drawing, video games, movies, doing impressions, and collecting action figures. He was very close to his mother Chris, father Arnie, brothers Troy and Josh, sister Brandee, and cat Noah.
Matt was surrounded by prayer and his closest family when the Lord called his name. Their undying love for him cannot be expressed, only lived in Heaven.
Funeral Mass will be Jan. 24 @ 11am at St. Gabriel's Church. Chapel open @ 10am for visitors, rosary @ 10:30am. Burial follows at Sunset Lane Mem. Park. Reception follows at St. Gabriel's @ 1:15pm.
