Max Lee Wright

Max L. Wright, 73, of Port Orchard died Sat. Sept. 28, 2013 at his residence. Max was born July 4, 1940 in Idaho Falls, ID to Jack & Edna (Lee). He married the former Mary Ann Gavin Aug. 30, 1968 in Reno, NV.
Following high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served a tour in Viet Nam as a Electricians Mate 2nd class. He was employed as a marine electrician and planner, estimator with PSNS, retiring in 1993.
Max was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, coached Little League, Pony and Colt baseball. He had also been active in Cub & Boy Scouts. His interests included hunting, fishing, camping, rock hounding and especially children and his family. Max was always generous with his knowledge & time in service to others.
Preceded in death by his 2 brothers Ted, Gary and sister, Connie.
Survived by his wife Mary of the family home in Port Orchard, sons, Rick Hunt of North Carolina, Scott & Winona Hunt of Texas, Bryon Noell of Missouri, Ron & Diana Noell of Belfair, daughters Peggy Owens of Texas, Dee Ann & Ronald Coale of Shelton, brothers, Dennis of WA, Paul & Doug of OR, Alan of ID, 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also included are the parents & their children brought to us during years of daycare in our home. Too many to count, in all, a lot of whom remain part of our extended family and always will.
Graveside service will be 1:30, Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. A memorial service will be 2:00, Sat. Oct. 12th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Hoover Ave. in Port Orchard. Online memorial at www.rill.com . Luv'a, Luv'a, Luv'a You!
