Melissa Marson

Melissa Anne Marson (Kono-Santos), 30, died at her home in Port Orchard on February 18, 2010.  She was born August 18, 1979 in Tuscaloosa, AL.  She graduated from Olympic High School in Bremerton in 1997.  She married Ryan Marson on December 20, 2008 in Poulsbo, WA. Melissa was a very devoted mother of three who enjoyed music, photography, coloring, crosswords & friends.  She was a personal stylist, counselor, encourager, and motivator.  Melissa touched, inspired & loved so many friends & extended family members. Surviving are husband Ryan Kenneth Marson; parents Lewis & Gloria Kono and parents-in-law Steve & Nona Marson of Holman, WI; sons Chase Gavin Santos 13 & Courtney Lewis Santos 10; daughter Daelyn Rose Santos 12; brothers Andrew Christian-Kono (Jean Hill) & son Will Christian of Bremerton, Gage Kono USMC Okinawa, Japan, Shon, Anthony & Christopher Kono, all of Poulsbo; sisters Krissa Kono of Sacramento, CA, Cheryl Christian & daughter Jocelyn of Silverdale, Shella Kono of  Poulsbo; grandparents Clyde & Mary Lou Christian of Northport, AL; aunt Jennifer Kono & cousins Stephanie & Jared Kono, all of Port Orchard; her loving in-laws, the Santos Family.  She was preceded in death by uncle Alan Kono. Memorial Service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo.
