Melva Hurst

Melva M. "Toni" Hurst of Port Orchard, Washington died October 26, 2004 in Bremerton, Washington. She was 80. She was born April 26, 1924 in Bayview, Idaho to Clarence E. and Nellie (Kessinger) Russell. Toni worked in nursing and in home health care, having worked at Harrison Hospital and Belmont Terrace in Bremerton. She retired in 1988. Toni owned and operated an adult group home in Port Orchard for 10 years following her 1988 retirement. Se enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling and the out doors as well as family and friends. Toni is survived by son - Mark Hurst (& companion, Debbie Brown) of Port Orchard, Washington; daughters - Elizabeth Ann Huff of Bremerton, Washington, Ellen Janice Kane (& husband, Clifford) of Vista, California, Kathlynn Hurst of Bremerton, Washington; 4 grandchildren (Davida Clyde, Tameson Huff and Kenneth Wayne Bodine; 3 great-grandchildren (Teagen and Taileur Clyde and Aimee Hurst).
