Merlin "Buster" Eischens of Tacoma, Washington died June 22, 2005 of natural causes. He was 71. He was born May 1, 1934 in Marshall, Minnesota to Michael and Esther (Meyers) Eischens. He married Jean Louise (Bailey) Eischens September 1958 in Port Orchard, Washington. Merlin attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1953 - 1961 as E-3 Private. Merlin worked as a bus driver and customer service manager for Greyhound in Tacoma, Washington for 25 years - retiring in 1992. He also was a Blue and Gold Taxi driver for family owned taxi company. Merlin was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He enjoyed sports of all kinds - especially Seahawks and Mariners; and, enjoyed family camping trips. Merlin is survived by his wife Jean (Bailey) Eischens; son, Michael Eischens (wife, Lynn Eischens) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters - Barbara Holiman (significant other, Ed) of Newark, California, Bonnie Loucks (husband, Dick) of Vancouver, Washington, Linda Williams (significant other, Jim) of Auburn, New York, Mary Guerin (husband, Keith) of Macy, Indiana; brothers - Dennis Eischens (companion, Dorothy) of San Mateo, California; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother - Leroy "Bud" Eischens and sister Marcella Iles. Visitations were held at Rill's Life Tribute Center on June 25, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. - noon and June 26, 2005 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. A funeral was held at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Monday, June 27, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Burial interment was held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park on Monday, June 27, 2005.
