Michael Ellingsen

Michael Lee Ellingsen, 13, died in an accident at his home in Port Orchard, Washington on April 11, 2002. He was born on May 21, 1988 in Seattle, Washington to Curtis Ellingsen & Penelope (Gilland) Opal. Michael was in the 8th grade at Explorer Academy in Port Orchard. He enoyed skateboarding and music.Surviving are his father Curtis Ellingsen of Vashon Island and his mother Penny Opal of Port Orchard; sisters Melia Bock of Silverdale, Washington, Fawn Music of Belfair, Washington, Mary Jo Rechtin and Angela Ellingsen, both of Port Orchard, and Christa Bell Harold, U.S. Army in the middle east; paternal grandparents Dick & Peggy Ellingsen of Vashon Island, Washington; paternal grandparents Sharon & Bill Bennett of Newcastle, Washington, and maternal grandmother Alice Gilland of Mountlake Terrace, Washington.Funeral Service will be at Rill Chapel on Friday, April 19th at 1:00pm, with interment at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Port Orchard. Friends are invited to the family home at Lund Point Apartments, 3312 Valentine Lane in Port Orchard following the reception at Rill Chapel.
