Michael was born in Angeles City, Philippines. He grew up locally in Port Orchard, Washington with his mom, dad and three younger sisters. He attended Manchester Elementary, John Sedgwick Junior High School and South Kitsap High School graduating class of 2004.
Growing up, Michael was kind and caring, and pursued several hobbies. However, it was music that sparked his passion. From the flute, piccolo and bassoon, Michael’s ability to pick up any musical instrument and play it was a gift which led to a music scholarship where he took a few classes at Olympic College in Bremerton, WA.
As an adult, Michael was outgoing, sociable, generous and driven. The drive he possessed helped him discover his other passion in life and he spent several years as a dog handler, competing in dog shows with Pomeranians. The love he had for his dogs and competing was evident, as his eyes lit up when he discussed it.
Though his time with us was cut short, we will always remember his smile, laugh, warmth, and thoughtfulness. Rest in peace, we love you.
Michael is preceded by his father Gregory Moyer, and survived by his mother Marcelina (Edith) Moyer and his three younger sisters, Michelle Smith, Maria LaPorte and Gloria Moyer.
