Michael Schilling

Michael D. Schilling, 43 of Port Orchard, died at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington on April 28, 2000. He was born on March 21, 1957 in Lansing, Michigan to Rex & Marjorie (Bruns) Schilling. Mike was raised in the South Kitsap area graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1975 and Olympic College in Bremerton in 1985. He married Teri Lin Michener in Port Orchard on September 3, 1976.Mr. Schilling worked for 25 years as a Planner and Estimator at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton. He was a member of the Jim Snow Sailing Club of South Kitsap.Surviving are his wife Teri; sons Jason Schilling of Pullman, Washington and Nathan Schilling of Washington, D.C.; daughter Chantel Smith of Port Orchard; parents Rex & Marjorie Schilling of Shelton, Washington; brothers Charles Schilling of Tacoma, Washington and John Schilling of Vacaville, California; and sister Ruth Morgan of Vancouver, Washington. He was preceded in death by a son Brent Schilling in 1979 and a sister.Visitation is Tuesday, May 2, 2000 from Noon to 5PM at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Memorial Service at South Kitsap Presbyterian Church, 4705 Jackson SE in Port Orchard will be Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at 1:00PM. Interment will be at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
