Michael (Mike) Lee Schreiber Sr, of Port Orchard, passed away at home on August 28, 2022. He was born on April 9, 1958, to the late Paul and Betty (Wakefield) in LaRochelle, France. Mike lived in the Kitsap area for most of his life.
Mike was an East High School graduate, class of 1976. He was a cook at Brad’s and Briarcliff before joining the army. He recently retired after 45 dedicated years at Puget Sound Shipyard. Mike enjoyed road trips and sightseeing and cherished time spent with family.
He is survived by his wife, Sherri; his children, Mindy (Jessy), Michael Jr, Paul, and Krissy (Kael); Mindy’s children: Austin, Aidan, and Devin McPherson; Michael’s children: Michael and Caidyn Schreiber; Paul’s children: Landyn and Aubree Schreiber; and Krissy’s children: Maverick and Raiden Kellenberger. He is also survived by his sisters Paula (Richard) Muzzy and Susan (Larry) Williams, his nieces Sheri Poland and Autumn West and their families.
When Mike started building a life with his wife, Sherri, the love and memories extended to her children and later their grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his stepchildren Jovi Tiatia, Lena (Glenn) Bond, Emma Fry, Amanda Fry, Bre Fry, and Melany Fry.
A public celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 3 at the Elks Lodge, 4131 Pine Road NE Bremerton, WA. Doors open to the public at noon; Honor Guard at 1:00 pm.
