Michael Woodford

Michael Blair Woodford, 82 of Port Orchard died on August 10, 2009.  He was born March 29, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to Michael & Catherine (Campbell) Woodford.  He married Janice McGrath in March 1960 in Brockton, MA.  She preceded him in death. Michael worked as a Pipefitter for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, retiring in 1990.  He also served as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army in Japan.  He enjoyed woodcarving & gardening. Surviving are sons Charles (Cindy) McGrath of Belfair; Michael (Jamilyn) Woodford of Port Orchard & Andrew Woodford of Poulsbo; daughters Donna Stein, Constance (Tom) McColgan & Margaret (Mike) Shearing, all of Port Orchard; brother Daniel & sisters Beatrice, Dorothy, Delores, all of Massachusetts; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by daughter Judy Ahumada, brother John & sisters Mary, Shirley & Virginia. Celebration of Life Service at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
