Milagros M. Escolta, 74, of Port Orchard died Saturday at her home.She was born in Batangas, Philippines to Victorio and Amancia (Montalbo) Medina. She graduated from high school in the Philippines.She attended Marinello Beauty College in San Francisco and Hill Top Beauty School in Daly City, California. She owned Millie's Beauty Studio in Daly City for 10 years.She married George Ponce' Escolta. He preceded her in death in 1995.Mrs. Escolta loved her family. She enjoyed making costumes for her son Roderick's Polynesion dance company, making flower leis, playing cards, casinos, bingo, cooking and laughter.She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.Survivors include two sons, Gregory Escolta of Redwood City, California, and Roderick Escolta of Port Orchard; three daughters, Philiamer Guarin of Daly City, Claire Parrott of Seattle and Florence Guarin of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Dr. Filomeno Medina of Daly City; three sisters, Esperanza Luansing of Pittsburg, California, Chris Federizo of Las Vegas and Lina Salinz of Vancouver, Washington; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Victorio Escolta and her daughter, Venus Escolta.A rosary will be said at 7 tonight at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, California.
