Milagros (Mila) Valasote Miraflor was born on September 15, 1945 in Tigbaun, Iloilo Philippines to Loreto C. and Anna (Sansolis) Valasote.
Mila was a real housewife, great supporter, advisor and a loyal fan of her husband and kids. She sacrificed during her married life to serve her husband and kids instead of finishing college. When she got the chance in her 40’s she “mared” up to complete her Bachelor’s degree in business management; not to pursue as her career, but to prove to herself that she is capable and able to pursue her goals even in her later years. Her life revolves in the wellness and unity of her family.
Mila enjoyed sewing, crochet, cooking and celebrating birthdays and achievements. She was always very hospitable and wanted to be around with her children and husband to make sure they were well, comfortable and well fed. She had never ending patience to prepare lunch and snacks for her kids at school, activities, games and tournaments. She also enjoyed excursions with the family to the beach and other short outings. She was very social and humorous, loving and caring. As she was fond of saying “Always love your Mother, because you will never get another.”
Time is very slow for those who wait, very fast for those who are scared, very long for those who lament. But for those who love, time is eternal. –William Shakespeare
