Minnie Pearl Johnson of Port Orchard, Washington died of a long term illness October 25, 2004 in Bremerton,Washington. She was 61. She was born April 29, 1943 in Pelly, Texas to Titus Leon and Mattie Pearl (Johnson) Johnson. She met Harvey Carson in 1959 and married in 1962. They were blessed with Pamela. That marriage was later dissolved. Minnie Pearl met Bobby Johnson and married in Reno, Nevada in 1971; and, they were blessed with Kristina. Minnie graduated from McClymonds High School in Oakland, California in 1959. She worked as a claims adjuster for The State of California from 1979 - retiring in 2001. Minnie Pearl enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling, pretty things and taking care of family and friends (and they loved her). She was a member of AME African Methodist Episcopalian Church and was raised in the Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters - Pamela Marie Carson of Oakland, California and Kristina Renee Sedeno(& husband, Joshua) of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Titus Leon Cooper, Jr. of West Covina, California; sisters - Martha Ann Coleman (& husband, William) of Richmond, California, Wilburn Maxine Moore of Oakland, California; 4 grandchildren (Damaris Dante Carson of Hawaii, DeMario Deonta Nivins of Oakland, California, Kristina Nicole Lewis of Los Angeles, California, Joshua James Sedeno, II of Port Orchard, Washington, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and a host of family and friends.
