Morris Eugene Baker died of lung cancer in Bremerton, Washington on October 22, 2002. He was 67.He was born to Raleigh and Mallie (Melton) Baker February 15, 1935 in Avawam, Kentucky.He married Jecquetta L. Cross in Stockton, California.Morris attended Combs High School of Combs, Kentucky.He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 - 1973; and, attained rank of Sergeant First Class. He received: Army Commendation Medal and Vietnamese Star of Gallantry, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Brownze Star, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal.He also worked with Loomis Armored Car Service from 1974 - 1995 (21 years of employment).He enjoyed making wood toys for grandkids, helping others and home beautifications.Morris was a member of Belfair Assembly of God Church.He is survived by his wife Jecquetta of the family home in Port Orchard, Washington; son - Gary Baker of Stockton, California; daughter - Shelia Gustavson of Folsom, California; brothers - Wilson, Roy, RD, Bronson; sisters Ruby, Suzanne, Beaulah; and, 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons - Lloyd and Timothy, Mother and father - Raliegh and Mallie, brothers - Willie, Glen, Ore and Jack, and sister Myrtle.
