Muriel A. Barrett died December 19, 2002 at her Port Orchard, Washington residence. She was 94.She was born in Saratoga, Washington June 2, 1908 to Asa Henry and Mary Amelia (Earley) Williams.She attended Detroit Lakes High School in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; and Normal School in Minnesota; and, attended Teacher's College in St. Cloud, Minnesota.Muriel married Walter L. Barrett October 28, 1931 in Coupeville, Washington.She taught school in Frazee, Minnesota before she was married. Once married, she was a homemaker and mother.In the 1950's she and her husband Walter built fifteen homes in the Kingston area where they lived for many years. She did the bookkeeping, finish work and was the stone mason building fireplaces. She also loved the outdoors working in her flower garden.She is survived by daughter - Judy Eshom (and husband Coy) of Port Orchard, Washington; brother - Kenneth Williams (& wife Dorothy) of Coarsegold, California; 4 grandchildren (Barbara Dorey of Placentia, California, Marlene Davis of Kennewick, Washington, Lillian Al Farsi of Oman, Steve Eshom of Vancouver, Washington); and, 9 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by sons - Dennis and Dale Barret, brother - Maurice Williams and sister - Jeannette Armstrong and grandson- Michael Barrett.There will be a private burial service.Memorial donations may be made to:American Heart Association,4414 Woodland Park Ave. N.Seattle, WA 98103.
