Our dear mother Nancy Lynn Scott sadly passed away 07/16/23 in her home with her daughter by her side. She was born 7/21/1944 in Marble Mount, Washington. We all know she is dancing in Heaven with Her Mother June Dehoat, Husband Larry Scott, Son Lenny Long, Sister’s Trudy, Sharon and Tina.
Nancy spent most of her younger years managing the house hold. She had three children Lenny, Bruce and Brandie. They kept her busy running from Cub Scouts, Blue Birds 4H and many other activities. She worked 25 years in the Naval shipyard as a Dosimetry reader.
Her true love beside her Husband (Happily Married for 33 years) were her animals. My mother raised many animals that were orphaned from their mother, feeding around the clock. Mom taught us kids what the circle of life meant.
She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends. She loved her long talks with both Kathy and Dorthy. My mother was so proud that she learned how to knit from her best friend Kathy.
Mom also loved just sitting by herself watching 48 hours or Dateline petting her cats, or teaching them new tricks. Boy did her cats know how to do tricks. Such as fetch the stick, roll the ball back and forth. Kisses and rolling over for a treat.
My fondest memories with my mom were horseback riding, baking Christmas cookies, crocheting and dancing and singing in the living .
Survived by Son Bruce Long, Daughter Brandie Wheeler, Daughter in-law Karen Long, Nieces Verena Bean, Jenny Shelton Cairin Shelton, Michelle Shelton, Nephews Chester Miller and Jerry Shelton, Grandchildren Devin Wheeler, Ty Wheeler, Collin Long, Abby Long and Great Grandchild Abigail Wheeler.
