Naomi L. Vickery, 88 of Tacoma, passed away on August 11, 2010. She was born September 20, 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John & Helen (Oswald) Park. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma in 1939 and married John L. Vickery, Jr. in Snohomish, Washington in August 1940. He preceded her in death in 1972. Nan was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards & dice, crafts, puzzles, casino gambling and sally-shopping. She was a member of Living Way Foursquare Church for 30 years, serving in many areas. She is survived by her children John L. Vickery III (Larae)of Gig Harbor, Donald A. Vickery of Federal Way, James E. Vickery of Renton, and Judy A. Montgomery of Lakewood; brother Jack (Lillian) Park of Ephrata, WA; sisters Marie Hiller of Portland, OR and Doris Van Horn of Couer d'Alene, ID; 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters Marge & Ethel. Everyone who knew Nan loved her, and she will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00pm at Living Way Foursquare Church, 8605 Washington Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA.
