Who would have thought I'd be writing my son’s obituary due to a tragic and senseless crime. Nathaniel Joseph Rosa, 31 years young, was born in California, and an avid 49er fan. He was a compassionate and dedicated educator at the Woodmoor Elementary School who has left a Magical Footprint on this Earth. I've received and read messages from his friends about the most wonderful things he's done to touch people all over the world.
This is how he's been described: a good, genuine person; a unique energy about him; he's kind and sensitive; loyal and thoughtful; playful and fun; enthusiastic and adventurous; inspiring and uplifting, and most of all his infectious smile! This proud mama, Nathaniel's family, and the family he created for himself all over the world feel all of these things and more.
Nathaniel's spirit now watches over me his proud mama Linda Rosa, dad Ron Martin, father Steve and mom Diane Rosa. His abuelita Dolores Alfaro and papa Noel Alfaro, tio Noel Alfaro, aunt Sabrina, cousins Noel, Matt, and their wives. Tia Lola, sisters Meagan and Leah Rosa, and his nieces and nephews. Brother Andy Martin, sister Sheena Martin, and the Martin family. Godmother Debbie Haddad, moms Diane & Vivian, brother Steve Romano, Sister Danielle Romano, and nephew and niece. The children and young people he touched in his work and who left a handprint on his heart. The many brothers and sisters which forms the family he created all over the world for himself and to make sure this mama always has love around her. The skies are now stronger as he has joined his tio Tony and cousin Justin.
Nathaniel wrote the following, the day after his 31st Birthday which was celebrated with a 80s themed party.
Nathaniel Rosa: feeling loved.

Good Morning Y'all. On this beautiful morning I'm feeling so many thoughts that I just can't put the words together. To feel the love and positive energy from some of the people closest to you is such a great reinforcer. Even at 31 yes.... I'm Loving Living Life. Thank you family, all of you. And I hope everyone knows that even if we don't talk as much as we used to I remember those who have always done right by me. Chosen family has been such a huge part of my life and needless to say I think I made some fantastic selections. Again much love and thank you.
