Neil Carlson

Neil A. Carlson, age 80, of Port Orchard, Washington died May 24, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. Neil was born June 28, 1920 in Hoquiam, Washington to Charles & Selma (Hulten) Carlson. He attended Quinault High School where he graduated.Neil married Ella L. Hibbs October 8, 1949, Ella preceded Neil in death in 1990. He was in the US Army during WWII and a Rigger at shop 72 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton where he retired in 1983. Neil's interests were his family.Surviving are sons Gary Powers of Olympia, WA; Leroy Carlson of Gig Harbor, WA; Charles Carlson of Manson, WA; Monty Carlson of Poulsbo, WA and Duane Carlson of Port Orchard, WA; daughters Barbara Harkins of Ellensburg; Kimberly Eggleston of Silverdale; Nancy Carlson of Port Orchard, WA; Linda Carlson of Port Orchard and Debra Kulikowski of Effingham, Ill; one sister Virmae Murphy of Montesano, WA; seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and preceded in death by daughter Judy Carlson.Graveside services will be Thursday May 31, 2001 3:00 pm at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard, WA.
