Neil Lively

Neil Lively was born in San Diego, California on November 22, 1962. He spent his childhood in many places including Virginia, Hawaii and Washington. Neil graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington.

Neil spent his years as a commercial fisherman and lived by what he preached: “Shut up and WORK!”

Neil was Father of the Month when his daughter Lehya was born. He considered his family his most significant accomplishment; his daughter Lehya, son-in-law Carlos, two grandsons (Cash & Cruz) and one granddaughter (McKensee). Neil enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the 4th of July parties in Seaview, Washington. His favorite places to spend time was anything that involved nature – including the Puget Sound, the Pacific Ocean, high up in the mountains and exploring the National Parks. He was also a proud member of the Port Orchard Eagles.

In addition to his daughter and family, Neil is survived by his dad Neil H. Lively, sister Tina Soete, brother Earl Lively, and sisters Elie Lynn Lively and Helenia G. Lively. He was preceded in death by his dog Duke. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the cancer fund at the Port Orchard Eagles. We hope that every time you hear the saying, “It is what it is” or his favorite song “Spirit in the Sky”, you remember Neil with a smile. He will be greatly missed.
