Nellie Christoffersen

Nellie A. Christoffersen died of various health complications in Bremerton, Washington September 4, 2002. She was 82.She was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado January 14, 1920 to Guy and Dorothy (Pratt) Powers.She attended schools in Loveland, Colorado and graduated in 1938.Nellie was a homemaker; loved playing Bingo; was a member of Eagles Auxiliary in Bremerton, Washington; and, was Bingo Manager at the Senior Center in Smokey Point. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Port Orchard, Washington.She is survived by sons - Roy A. Duncan, Sr. of Port Orchard, Washington and David Christoffersen (and wife Jennifer) of Belfair, Washington; daughter - Jeannean (and husband Ray) Lyttle of Marysville, Washington; sisters - Thelma McAllister (and husband Claude) of Oregon, Fama Plouffe of Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Walter A. Christoffersen, daughter - Norma O. Powers, sister - Audrey Powers McPherson and brother - Merritt "Bud" Charles Powers.Visitation will be held at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints located on Mullenix Road, Port Orchard, Washington September 10, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. September 10, 2002 (also at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints).Memorial donations - in lieu of flowers - may be made to contributor's preference.
