Nick Repanich

Nick J. Repanich of Kent, Washington died October 18, 2004 in Kent. He was 91. He was born in Fresno, California on December 1, 1912 to John and Katie (Lipanovich) Repanich. Nick married LaVerne E. (Cowin) Repanich September 1954 in Port Orchard, Washington. He graduated from Fresno Technical High School in Fresno, California in 1931. He worked as a machinist: Plannerman, Apprentice Instructor; Personnel Supervisor, Industrial Relations Officer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 34 years - retiring in 1970. Nick enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, Salvation Army, Harrison Hospital Board, Kiwanis, Free Masonry Port Orchard Lodge 98, Port Orchard City Councilman 14 years, Port Orchard Mayor 10 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Nick is survived by his wife - LaVerne (Cowin) Repanich; son - John Repanich (& wife, Patricia) of Vis, Yugoslavia; daughters - Emarlyn Schafer (& husband, Glenn) of Port Orchard, Washington; Karen Lentz (& husband, Ralph) of Kent, Washington; sister - Mary Marriccini of Merced, California; 6 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother - Anton Repanich. A visitation will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on October 21, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the Port Orchard United Methodist Church on October 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a private family entombment.
