Niels Nielsen

Niels was born in Kalundborg, Denmark to Olga and Poul Nielsen. He is survived by his wife Margie; sons Erik (Carrie) and Paul (Ashley); grandchildren Taylor, Cameron, Delaney, Koben and Claire; niece Karina & her family; brother Axel in Denmark.  Niels and his wife were on a cruise on the Rhine River when he had a heart attack. We docked at Rudesheim, Germany. People were very helpful in connecting us with the local funeral company that helped with arrangements to get Niels back home.  Niels was a 45 year Rotarian and Past President of the Port Orchard Morning Club. He traveled the world on behalf of their causes and really enjoyed the conventions. Through his Rotary travels he touched many lives around the world.  There will be a viewing for Niels on Thursday, December 16th from 5-8:00pm at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. There will be a service Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at Rill's with a celebration following at McCormick Woods.
