Nona L. Brummet, of Port Orchard passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 17, 2016.
The former Nona Adams was born on November 30, 1940 in Riverside, California to Edgar and Edna Adams. Nona graduated from Selah high school and continued on to Yakima Community College.
She married Granvil (Gary) Brummet and together they had two children. Nona settled with her husband in Port Orchard, WA. to raise her family.
Nona found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sister and friend. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel as though they were her favorite person. She truly put everyone’s needs and wants before her own and wanted to make sure others were happy. Nothing brought her greater joy then to have all of her family over and to provide them with a home cooked meal. Nona’s house was open to everyone who wanted to stop by and enjoy coffee and conversation.
In her past time she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking. Each year she would bake 100’s of Christmas cookies to give to her family and friends.
Nona is survived by her husband Gary. Her son Jerry Brummet his wife Rhonda. Grandson Jake. Daughter Sheryl Page, husband Mark. Grandson Skylar and wife Sierra. Her great grandson Theodore Page. Grandaughter Marsheyl and husband Rod Kirkconnell. Her brother James Adams. Brother Dee Adams and his wife Connie. Sister Diana Nolle. Numerous nieces and nephews.
