Noralf Tweit died January 23, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington. He was 94.He was born March 24, 1908 in a farm house west of Dazey, North Dakota to Andrew and Helena (Lagried) Tweit.He attended school through the 8th grade in Dazey, North Dakota.Noralf married Bessie M. ("Taber") February 14, 1931 in Aberdeen, Washington.He worked at Puget Sound Naval Station in World War II. He was a union member of Abestos Worker Local #133 in North Dakota. He worked a total of 40 years - retiring in 1976.Noralf was a member of Sons of Norway, Moose Club; loved to tinker in the garage; enjoyed reading and gardening.He was a member of Lutheran Saint Olaf of Walum, North Dakota.He is survived by his wife, Bessie "Taber" of Ridgemont Terrace; son - Mark A. Tweit (and wife Linda J. Tweit) of Port Orchard, Washington; brothers - Einer Tweit of Lewiston, Idaho, Harold Tweit of Valley City, North Dakota, Valborg Thomson of Devil's Lake, North Dakota; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great/great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by: son, Lawrence Tweit; grandson, Glen Tweit; brothers - Ted and Olaf Tweit; sisters - Hjordis Paulsen and Annie Kloster.
