Norma Stout

Norma L. Stout, 74, a resident of Port Orchard, died December 10th of natural causes in Port Orchard. She was born January 2, 1933 in Redondo Beach, California to Cecil and Henrietta (Burkhardt) Voss. Norma graduated form Redondo Beach High School in 1951 and received an Associate Degree from Redlands School of Nursing in California in 1974. She married Gary Stout in 1986 in Port Orchard. Norma worked at Harrison Medical Center, Bremerton for 18 years; retiring in 1996. She was the best health care provider one could ask for. She enjoyed knitting and cooking, and she had a green thumb. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary and sister-in-law Tiny Jones. She is survived by sons Edward Brown (Gail) of Lakewood and William Ron Brown of Port Orchard; daughters Nina Lara (Ed) of Poulsbo, Debbie Walters of Clarkston and Teresa Millyard; brother James Luke Jones of Kingman, Arizona; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Memorial service for Norma will be Thursday, December 20 at Elim Lutheran Church, 5911 E. Hillcrest Dr., Port Orchard, WA 98366.
