Odie Ray Kennedy, age 91 of Magnolia, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on April 28th surrounded by his loving family, just one day shy of his 92nd birthday.
Odie spent fifty two years in the service of his country. He was a World War II Veteran who dedicated twenty four years to the United States Navy and twenty eight years to the Carrier & Field Service Unit of the Department of Defense.
Odie was both a loving, caring, husband and father, a man of joy and laughter and a mentor to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Bobbie (ole what's her name), his daughters Deborah, Diana and Donna, grandchildren Phillip, Rebekah, Olivia and Hannah, and great grandchildren Jordan, Charlie and Vivian.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many dear friends.
At Odie's request, there will be no service. He lived his life to the fullest, enjoyed fishing, hunting, time with good friends and an ice cold beer. If you'd like to honor his memory, he'd tell you to go to your local watering hole and have a beer for him!
Fair winds and following seas Odie. We love you.
