Olga Lundberg

Olga G. Lundberg, age 84, died May 16, 2000 in Bremerton, WA. She was born December 19, 1915 in Central Valley (Silverdale), WA. to Ole and Louise Fosberg where she was raised. She graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1932. She married Maynard ''Swede'' Lundberg in Bremerton, WA on June 12, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1995.Mrs. Lundberg worked for the Central Kitsap School District from 1933-1937, and for the Washington State Veterans Home in Retsil as a Secretary to the superintendent from 1951-1972. Her hobbies included bridge, music and being and a good grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, WA., the Sons of Norway, Sidney Museum Association, Pythian Sisters #17, and the Port Orchard Eastern Star. Mrs. Lundberg was the last surviving charter member of the Ann Wilson Guild that formed in 1937. She is survived by her son John Lundberg of Port Orchard, WA., daughter Janet Pugh of Port Orchard, WA., sister Ruth Laraway of Seattle, WA., grandchildren Kari Oliver, Kevin Pugh, Christina Lundberg, Kathi Stimmel, Bjorn Lundberg and 4 great grandchildren.Visitation is at Rill Chapel May 18 from noon - 5:00 p.m., May 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., May 20 9:00 a.m. - noon. Funeral services will be held at First Lutheran Church in Port Orchard on May 20 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sunset Lane Cemetery in Port Orchard.
