Olive Knox

Olive B. Knox, 86 of Port Orchard, died in Bremerton, WA on April 10, 2009.  She was born January 3, 1923 in Bonetrail, ND to Olaf & Oline (Enlien) Bakken.  She graduated from HS in Williston, ND in 1941 and married Charles Knox on November 27, 1943 in Bremerton.  Charles preceded her in death in 2006. Olive worked in banking for 23 years at Kitsap Bank in Port Orchard, retiring in 1989.  She was a member of Long Lake Garden Club, South Kitsap Red Hat, and Bank Ladies Lunch Group, all in Port Orchard. Surviving are daughters Linda (Don) Craig of Shelton, WA, Barbara (Merle) Lysne of Covington, WA, Cheryl Wenner & Renae (Ron) Ward, both of Port Orchard; brothers Harold (Kay) Bakken of Auburn, WA & Arnold Bakken of Hamilton, MT; sisters Alma Monger of Williston, ND & Eunice Jennings of Ellensburg, WA; grandchildren Scott Craig, Robyn Maxwell Paulson, Tricia Sawyer, Tami Foster & Sara Ward; great-grandchildren Tanner, Chelsea, Dylan, Mason, Savannah, Cameron, Dawson & Carter; and special friends Richard & Sandi Shepherd.  She was preceded in death by daughter Charlene, infant son, brothers Kenneth, Ray, Duane & Warren. Memorial service at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at Rill's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
