Orville Jensen

Orville Jensen died April 12, 2003 at Stafford Suites in Port Orchard, Washington. He was 84.He was born May 15, 1918 in Leader, Minnesota to George and Elsie (Rouse) Jensen.Orville married Hattie (Klapel) Jensen September 15, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.Orville served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1942 through 1946. He attained rank of Carpenter's Mate First Class.He started as carpenter and then ended his career as a construction manager with Adolphson and Peterson General Contractors. He worked 30 years with Adolphson and Peterson and retired in 1983.Orville enjoyed woodworking and reading.He was a member of Life Center in Tacoma, Washington.He is survived by his wife, Hattie Jensen of the Port Orchard, Washington home; son - Ken Jensen (& wife, Julianne) of Port Orchard, Washington; sister - Esther Donathan of California; 1 granddaughter - Gloria Jensen.Services will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 9:30 a.m.Interment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington on Friday, April 18, 2003 at 12:30 p.m.
