Orville D. Leach of Shelton, Washington died October 20, 2004 in Shelton. He was 70. He was born August 5, 1934 in Moorehead, Minnesota to Orville Dave and Selma Amanda (Nelson) Leach. Orville married Janice N. (Van Alstine) Leach March 20, 1959 in Bremerton, Washington. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1952. He served in the Army from May 1956 - May 1958 - attaining rank of Specialist 3. Orville worked for 37 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a Pipecoverer Insulator - retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, horse races, fantasy football, spending time with family. Orville was Lutheran. He is survived by his wife - Janice N. (Van Alstine) Leach at the family home in Shelton, Washington; son - Steven M. Leach (& wife, Gloria) of Kirkland, Washington; daughter - Deanna Brown (& husband, Jim) of Port Orchard, Washington; sisters - Gloria Bjorkheim, Arlene Nesseth - both of Port Orchard, Washington, Judy Marr of Franklin, Wisconsin, Janice Kittilstved of Spokane, Washington; 3 grandchildren (Chris Brown, Mitch Brown, Sydney Leach). He was preceded in death by sister - Jeanette Hovermale. Visitations will be held: Friday, October 22, 2004 from 12 noon - 5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Monday, October 25, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. - service. A funeral will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on October 25, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington following the service at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center.
